The company has reported a net income of $6.73m for the third quarter 2009 compared to a net loss of $35.4m in the same period 2008. Operating income increased to $11.5m from a loss of $45.5m in the same period 2008.
For nine months ended September 30, 2009, the company posted a net revenue of $141.16m, compared to $179.57m for the same period in 2008. Operating income for nine months increased to $19.9m from a loss of $39.61m in the year ago period.
Walter Ulloa, chairman and CEO of Entravision Communications, said: “Our third quarter financial results continue to be impacted by the recession and the challenging advertising environment. We remain focused on managing our costs and maximizing our cash flows.
“Our television and radio operations continue to deliver solid ratings in the nation's most densely-populated Hispanic markets. We believe that we are well positioned to benefit when the economy recovers, given the strength of our brands and our ability to deliver the valuable Hispanic audience to advertisers.”
