Green Mountain Q1 Net Sales Up 77%

 

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters has reported net sales of $349.36m for the first quarter fiscal 2010 ended December 26, 2009, an increase of 77 percent compared to $196.98m for the comparable period in 2008.

The company has posted a net income of $ 12.49m for the first quarter fiscal 2010, or $0.27 per diluted share, compared to $14.38m, or $0.37 per diluted share, for the comparable period in 2008. Operating income was $23.07m, compared to $24.95m for the comparable period in 2008.

Lawrence Blanford, president and CEO of Green Mountain, said: “Building on our excellent fiscal 2009 performance, it is exciting to be off to an outstanding start for fiscal 2010.
