Food distributor AGAR has signed a six-year agreement with both Papa Gino's and sister chain D 'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches. Both are under the Papa Gino's name, based in Dedham, Massachusetts.
The food distributor will act as the restaurant group's broadline distributor and supply these items to all locations including 170 Papa Gino Pizzerias and 200 D 'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches locations.
AGAR will also assist both restaurant groups with enhancing their internal efficiencies by offering the technology to help them with online ordering. Each location in the group will be able to track inventory and order product through a central ordering system which will ultimately go straight to AGAR for processing, allowing operators more time to focus on front of house operations.
Karen Bressler, president and CEO of AGAR, said: “We recognize long-term agreements in this business are very rare. The fact that Papa Gino's and D 'Angelo have chosen to partner with us for a long period of time goes to show the commitment we give our customers and the dedication we have for supplying quality products with unwavering service. We always have the best interest of our customers in mind and a long-term relationship such as this one proves we can be very competitive in our pricing.”
