Mazda Motor Corporation has reported net sales of JPY557.54 billion for the fiscal third quarter 2009 ended December 31, 2009, compared to JPY512.33 billion for the same period in 2008.
The company has posted a net income of JPY4.42 billion for the fiscal third quarter ended December 31, 2009, compared to net loss of JPY676m for the comparable period in 2008. Operating income was JPY11.09 billion, compared to operating loss of JPY24.21 billion for the comparable period in 2008.
For the nine months ended December 31, 2009, the company has posted a net loss of JPY16.38 billion compared to net income of JPY28.85 billion for the year ago period. Net sales were JPY1547.88 billion compared to JPY2087.87 billion for the year ago period. Operating loss was JPY10.97 billion, compared to operating profit of JPY36.52 billion for the year ago period.
